Dr. Duan (she/her/they/them) serves on the Community Advisory Board at Osmind, and is a private practice psychiatrist in New York City who provides psychotherapy and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Duan is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University Grossman School of Medicine.
Dr. Duan specializes in reproductive psychiatry and women's mental health across the lifespan, as well as child/adolescent mental health. She has additional training in transcranial magnetic stimulation, MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, and ketamine treatment. Other areas of expertise include: ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, interventional psychiatry, and much more. While training at the University of Michigan, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine, she authored multiple academic publications and presented at many national conferences.
Dr. Duan is also an award-winning writer who has spent time on the ABC News Medical Unit and spoken at New York Comic Con about pop culture and mental health. Dr. Duan is passionate about social justice and addressing the needs of underserved populations. This includes LGBTQIA+, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), those in alternative relationships, and much more.
