Employee Spotlight: Dan Snyder—Product Manager

Written by

Steph Conrad

As part of our “Employee Spotlight” series, we welcome Product Manager, Dan Snyder to share highlights of his first 6 months of working at Osmind.

Meet Dan—a Product Manager for the Practice Enablement Pod at Osmind. His team works to help clinics do everything outside of the charting experience, including scheduling and payments. Administrative work is a huge contributor to burnout among clinicians, and the Practice Enablement Team works to alleviate that one feature at a time.

What are your 3 favorite things about working at Osmind?

  1. Our leadership listens to the needs of their team. Their empathy and support helps us do our best work.
  2. Shared drive. Startups always go through growing pains, but it helps that everyone is committed to the same goals and pulling in the right direction.
  3. Strong culture. COVID wiped out company culture at some startups, but ours is stronger than ever, both remotely and in person.

Which of our company values do you most resonate with and why?

Team above self. At this point in Osmind's history, we have to execute quickly and with high quality. Our talented, ego-free team makes that really enjoyable and satisfying.

What is your proudest moment so far while working at Osmind?

We recently launched Osmind Payments. This has been the #1 requested feature from current and prospective customers since I started in March, and it's incredible to finally see it come to fruition and the impact it will have on our providers.

What energizes you at work?

Collaborating with my teammates! Working sessions with people in my pod leave me feeling super motivated and a little bit giddy. Oh, and coffee. I have a nice pourover setup at home.

What's your favorite catered lunch at work?

RT Rotisserie is the best flavor without being nap-inducing. I've learned my lesson the hard way with Square Pie Guys…

What brings you joy outside of work?

As a major foodie, my happy place is trying new restaurants. I was recently in LA where I got to try some authentic naengmyeon (a Korean cold noodle dish) at Yuchun.

What are your tips for managing a healthy work-life balance?

Don't multi-task! The more you can work on your tasks sequentially, the easier it becomes to disconnect at the end of the day. I highly recommend reading Deep Work by Cal Newport if you'd like to learn more.
