We’re excited to announce our partnership with the American Association for Precision Medicine (AAPM)!

On Jan 7–8 2021, the AAPM held its annual meeting in conjunction with the DataAI National Summit. At each annual meeting, AAPM brings together top experts and thought leaders in the fields of precision medicine, life sciences, biotech, medtech, and pharma to analyze cutting-edge trends in accelerating precision medicine and improving patient health. It is designed to bring the community together and serve as a leading forum for new medical breakthroughs as well as cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research.

According to the Precision Medicine Initiative, precision medicine is “an emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention that takes into account individual variability in genes, environment, and lifestyle for each person.” This approach will allow providers and researchers to predict more accurately which treatment and prevention strategies for a particular disease will work in which groups of people. It is in contrast to a one-size-fits-all approach, in which disease treatment and prevention strategies are developed for the average person, with less consideration for the differences between individuals[1].

Osmind’s Co-founder and COO Jimmy Qian was invited to speak at the AAPM 2021 Annual Meeting to present Osmind’s cutting-edge work in the precision mental health movement. Osmind, which builds software for next-gen mental health care delivery and research, is uniquely positioned to advance precision mental health and elucidate which treatments work best for what types of patients, especially those with treatment-resistant mental health conditions. Osmind works with a variety of researchers and academics to make true precision mental health a possibility in a field that has thus far suffered from a lack of validated, clinically useful approaches. The AAPM’s invitation demonstrates a recognition of Osmind’s leading role in research and mental health software.

In addition to the AAPM 2021 Annual Meeting, the AAPM has invited Osmind to join as a partner to the Association. The AAPM recognizes that mental health is a critical therapeutic area that will demonstrate tremendous growth, transformation, and progress within precision medicine. It has invited Osmind as a partner to also help its initiatives in launching an online community platform advocating for mental health research and information sharing.

We’re honored to have been selected for such a momentous cause. We’re excited to be building a next-gen Electronic Health Record for mental health that allows clinicians to deliver the best care possible, more tailored to the individual. We look forward to further contributing our software and research to advance the field of precision medicine.
