Want to make it easier for your patients to access out-of-network reimbursement? Let patients submit superbills for reimbursement irectly through the Osmind app. You'll save yourself and your patients time and confusion. You no longer need to print out, scan, and fax documents, or make your patient look up their specific insurance requirements—you can do it all within the Osmind EHR.
In this article, we'll go over the steps for creating a superbill and explain how you can automatically generate them for your patients.
A superbill is a document that provides proof of an appointment for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. It includes office and patient information, billing codes, and payment information, and modifiers.
Here's a template example of what a superbill looks like.
Once you've generated a superbill, you can share it with the patient so they can submit it to their insurance for potential reimbursement. You can also view and download the superbill from the Superbill section of the patient's Documents tab.
In conclusion, a superbill is a useful tool for out-of-network insurance reimbursement, and Osmind makes it easy. As the clinician, you simply log ICD 10 and CPT codes and generate the superbill. You can either print it out or save as a PDF and send it to your patient.
From there, your patient simply takes picture of the superbill, and Osmind takes care of the rest—"automagically" sending the superbill to insurance companies on your patient's behalf.
By following the steps outlined above, you can easily generate a superbill and make it easy for your patients to submit for potential reimbursement. You'll expand access to your services without the headache of making your patient navigate their insurance terms.
