Robert Dugger, MD
Dual Board-Certified child and adolescent psychiatrists like Dr. Dugger have completed a minimum of five years of additional training in psychiatry after receiving a Doctor of Medicine degree. Board Certification requires periodic reexamination and, in the US, there are only about 11,000 Dual Board-Certified child and adolescent psychiatrists as of December 2019 (1 for every 30,000 Americans).
What further separates Dr. Dugger is that he also practices emergency psychiatry across hospital systems consulting on thousands of highly complex cases in which he coordinates life changing interventions and services. Dr Dugger brings this wealth of clinical insight and relationships to his private patients.
Dr. Dugger‘s health policy advocacy included serving two years as a Councilor in the Medical Society of the State of New York and active board membership on the New York Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Dugger’s accomplishments evidence his belief in patient advocacy and this continues in his active membership in the Tampa regional chapter of the American College of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as membership in the American Psychiatric Association.
